Photographing in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and wherever her family takes her, Ogier-Bloomer documents the beautiful and sad reality of family dynamics while investigating the human need to see and be seen. This is the first published collection of her long-term documentary series, Family Pictures.

Parsons MFA Photo Thesis Catalog

This catalog features several works by each of the 12 artists in the 2011 MFA class. We posed three relevant questions to over 50 artists, critics, curators, and writers who have been influential in forming our vision. We’ve included their responses in this catalog. What emerges is a fascinating take on what a photographer’s role is and what a photograph can do in the world. Thank you to all our amazing contributors for engaging in this dialogue with us and making our catalog not only a beautiful selection of 12 talented emerging artists, but a relevant and current interjection in the conversation of contemporary art. The catalog was designed by Rachael Stollar and Niv Rozenberg in collaboration with the class of 2011.
